All functional pieces like cups, bowls, platters, etc are food-safe, dishwasher-safe, and microwave-safe. Though hand-washing is always recommended to protect the longevity of a piece. If a piece is NOT food-safe, it will be noted on the individual product description. Items are not oven safe. Avoid any extreme temperature changes such as going from a cold fridge to the microwave.
